9 Honeymoon Essentials

It’s finally here! The months of wedding planning are complete and the best part of getting married is right around the corner — the honeymoon.

And, after making one decision after another, the last thing you want to do is make any more logistical decisions — Where should we stay? What should we do? What do I even pack…?

Good thing your All Inclusive trip was planned by one of our BeachMasters!

1. Sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen.

You can never have enough sunscreen — we’re talking 3-4 bottles. Don’t wait until you’re in destination to buy it because it’s literally $30 a bottle.

2. Those random things

Go ahead and make a “Honeymoon Survival Kit”. Grab some extra sunscreen, some aloe vera — in case you get a little extra sun-kissed –, Bug Spray, Tylenol, Tums and even a few of your favorite snacks.

Remembering to pack these little things may eliminate the stress of spending an extra $25 aloe vera or $5 M&M’s at the airport.

3. Small bills

Make sure you have a few spare $1 and $5 bills for tips. Though it’s not required, it’s always nice to show the staff a little monetary appreciation for their hard work.

4. Beach-proof items

When you’re vacationing with your new spouse on one of the best beaches in the world, you don’t want to get upset over ruining your nice things.

So, this is my comprehensive list of items to pack:

+ a pair of cheap sunglasses

+ a waterproof phone and/or camera case

+ flip flops to wear on the beach

5. Accessories

I love to pack accessories that are cute and also functional. Honestly a big brimmed hat and a trendy pair of sunglasses go a long way.

6. Dress up

For your first few nights as newlyweds, have fun getting dressed up together. Most All-Inclusives have dress code for their specialty restaurants — a fun excuse to get glam.

So ladies, we recommend investing in a couple maxi dresses or sundresses — it’s all you’re going to want to wear at night. And guys, pack a few extra button ups and slacks.

7. Camera

Don’t forget to document your honeymoon! Do whatever it takes — selfies, self-timer, selfie stick — to capture those special moments.

8. Book

Go ahead and pack a book that you can read together on the beach. So technically I guess that would be two books, but… you understand.

9. Fun stuff

Just uh… don’t forget the things that are going to make your nights memorable.
