8 Resorts You Have to Visit If You’re a Foodie

I’ll go ahead and say it — I’m a major foodie.

In my book, vacations are 85 (read: 100) percent about eating new, delicious foods.

Every time I’m away from the place I call home, I like to challenge myself to eat or drink something new each day. Like, even if there’s lobster mac and cheese  — aka my favorite thing –, I’m going to try the mango-topped escargot instead.

So, when I’m looking into hotels, resorts, destinations, etc., the food quality plays a ~huge~ role in my decision making.

And, after many hours of research, these are the eight resorts that have really sparked my interest — and my taste buds.

Bon appetite, friends.

8 Resorts to Visit If You’re a Foodie:

Grand Velas Riviera Maya
Riviera Maya, Mexico

Grand Velas offers a dining experience that is simply unparalleled.

Unlike any other all-inclusive property, the food at this resort is its biggest draw. While there, guests can choose between Mexican, Italian, French, Asian and more. They also have the opportunity to try cuisine prepared by internationally renowned chefs such as Maître Cuisinier de France Michel Mustière and Xavi Pérez Stone, who was named the winner of “Iron Chef” in 2014.

Note: Cocina de Autor, one of the property’s signature restaurants, was awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award, making it the first all-inclusive restaurant to receive the honor — amazing.

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Much like the Riviera Maya property, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit offers up incredible cuisine — including molecular gastronomy dishes.

Grand Velas Cabos
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

And, we can’t leave out their Los Cabos property.

Barceló Aruba
Noord, Aruba

This all-inclusive resort features six restaurants and three bars — all with unique menus.

While at Barceló Aruba, you’ll have your choice between authentic Italian, traditional seafood, hibachi-style Japanese, Mexican-style cuisine and more.

Note: take your dining experience up a notch by booking a stay at the exclusive Royal Club Level. With this, you will have access to an additional restaurant that serves a gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Zoetry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres
Cancun, Mexico

Though it only has two restaurants, this stunning all-inclusive property offers up some of the best food in Cancun.

While at Zoetry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres, guests are invited to partake in a nightly seven-course meal, which changes daily. Each dish is made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients by chefs who are well-versed in authentic Mexican cuisine.

And, if the seven-course meal isn’t you cup of tea, they have another restaurant that offers a gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It's #foodieFriday! Enjoy amazing world cuisine at #ZoetryVillaRolandi.
