My Trip To Jamaica: From A Travel Agent’s Perspective

Believe it or not, there’s some myths out there about travel agents. Sometimes, people think that we just sit in a small dark office, look through vacation books and try to find a random resort to book for guests.

Nope. Wrong.

It’s crazy but here at BlueSun, we’re all actually friends!

And we get to travel to the resorts and destinations that we offer our guests for our vacation. One of our travel agents just got back from a vacation trip to Jamaica and we wanted to tell you all about it.

Here’s all about Justin’s trip to Jamaica:

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

WHERE DID YOU GO ON VACATION, JUSTIN?

I went to Jamaica with one of my coworkers and a mutual friend. We stayed at Azul Sensatori Negril and Breathless Montego Bay.

CAN YOU SUM UP YOUR TRIP IN 3 WORDS?

Scenic, tasty and beachy. Jamaica is truly beautiful! The food we had on our trip was great and so were the beaches.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE DAY ON THE TRIP?

My favorite day on the trip was when we went to visit Dunn’s Falls and Luminous Lagoon. If you’re traveling to Jamaica, I highly recommend these excursions.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF YOUR RESORTS COMPARED TO OTHER ONES YOU’VE VISITED?

Azul Sensatori was great. There are other Azul properties in Mexico, too so visiting this one in Jamaica reminded me of my time at Mexico Azul properties. It’s nice to see they both carry similar vibes whether you want to go to Riviera Maya or Jamaica.

Breathless was so much fun. Breathless resorts have a persona of constant, super high energy, but this one in Jamaica was more chill than I expected. This is a great resort if you want some activity and nightlife but still want to chill by the beach or pool.

WHAT WAS THE BEST MEAL YOU HAD ON YOUR TRIP?

Jerk Chick of the Barbecue. It was so good!

FAVORITE PICTURE OR MOMENT OF THE TRIP:

FOR YOUR FUTURE TRIPS, WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?

Somewhere fun and relaxing. I’d describe myself as a more “chill” person. I like to read in my free time, but I like to do a little bit of socializing mixed with some alone time.

WHEN GOING ON VACATION, WHAT DO YOU PRIORITIZE?

First, the food and drink quality. You could say I’m a “foodie” because I have a strong appreciation for other cultures which I see best displayed through their food and beverages. I’m not afraid to try something new.

Second, an unbeatable beach. It’s my favorite place to relax.

Third, I enjoy having places to explore off property. Jamaica was the perfect destination for excursions, but there’s so many other great destinations that offer amazing excursions too.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU’D CHANGE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE OR YOUR RESORT OR DESTINATION NEXT TIME?

This trip accomplished all my favorite things that I love to do while traveling, but I’d like to go to a place with much more energy next time.
