Outfits For Your Beach Vacation

1. Flirty & fun beachwear

Need something bright & beachy but unsure where to start? We suggest you start with a bright accent color to really bring in the outfit. Ladies, brave some bright pink sunglasses or choose a subtle bikini top with fun bottoms. Fun pastels with a twist add for a great flirty & fun outfit for a day at the beach.

2. Classy beachwear

Maybe you’re into the Audrey Hepburn look & neutrals are your thing. We’re all about that. Find a classy one piece or a simple black bikini paired with a tote, hat, & shades. You’re ready to hit the beach in style.

3. Casual dining

Ladies, a romper is perfect for a woman of any age that wants to feel beachy & carefree. White always helps show off sunkissed skin. Pair it with a long necklace, easy sandals and a pop of nail color and you’ll be a perfectly comfy sight for a casual dinner at your resort.

4. Dressy dining

Some resorts have restaurants with dress codes. If  you’re eating with a group at a nicer restaurant or trying to meet dress code, you can feel confident in a dress or fancier clothes paired with some simple flats or high wedges– add a little glitter or glam here and there & you’re good to go. Think of it as going out on a date or, or out on the town.

If there’s no dress code, the level of attire depends on your style or the vibe of your group.

5. Dress code dining

Men, make sure to ask your BeachMaster about your resorts dining options. Many a la carte restaurants require gentlemen to wear slacks for dinner as no shorts or flip flops are allowed as part of dress code. Heads up! Now you don’t have to splurge on Mexican chinos when you would rather save for a couples’ massage.

6. Go-To beachwear

This might go without saying, but make sure to bring a few t-shirts to lounge in your room, around the resort, or as a cover-up on the beach. We’ve had a few too many first-day-sunburns to know an easy, light t-shirt is a must have. It’s a great layer to have between your skin and the sun. But also, bring sunscreen!

7. Adventurous beachwear

If you’re the adventurous type, here’s the perfect set for a day of excursion and adventure: hat, sunglasses, lightweight bag, comfortable walking/hiking sandals, and a swimsuit with/under your clothes.  If your end destination is a relaxing one, bring a book or whatever you’d want to continue on your relaxation wave.

8. Sporty beachwear

To add more variety to the male wardrobe, we want to show off what our BeachMasters bring to the beach: jerseys. Mexico is hot & the Caribbean is hotter, so it’s always good to have some room to breathe with a tank. Especially one that has a bit more style than just your ordinary tank top. It says “I’m here to have fun.”

9. Beach necessities

This outfit is all you’ll ever need for a resort with majority beach access. Bring a variety of shoes: one just for the beach (can get wet/sandy), one for dressing up, and one for walking around. Pack a few swimsuits for rotation while some dry. And of course, a hat or shades for sunny days.

10. Beach accessories

Lounging is the perfect opportunity to crack open a magazine you haven’t had time to read and show off your new summer tote. We strongly suggest you bring a camera or your phone & always always a fun beach hat. Beach products are great if you want beach-wavy hair. Also, as much as we love La Croix, a beach beverage is definitely better. Remember you’ll have a drink in your hand–  try out something you’ve never had before!

11. Male beach accessories

Go-to accessories for any guy hanging at the beach.

12. Just-for-fun outfit

This isn’t necessarily a “must”, but it’s always fun to throw a little patriotism in your wardrobe. Whether it’s a hat, swim trunks, or a beachy red, white, and blue shirt.

Ultimately, we suggest bringing what makes you feel good and don’t forget what you need!
