I don’t know about you, but when I’m on vacation, I have a hard time deciding when and where to snap photos.
Like, I want to capture everyone, everything and every moment, but I don’t want to spend my entire vacation with a phone or camera in my hand — you know? And, no one wants to be that person who can’t eat their food until they take a picture of it.
So, what I’ve done is created a system (more like a list) that allows me to enjoy my vacation, but also capture those golden vacation moments.
7 Photos You Should Capture While on Vacation:
1. Far-Away Landscape + Person Shot
Especially if you’re active on social media, you should shoot for a landscape photo that features either you or your travel buddy.
This type of photo is great because it showcases the setting of your vacation while also proving (in some sense) that you were there. Plus, it just looks cool.
2. A Detail Shot
This kind of picture will feature a close-up detail or texture.
These pictures are cool because they encapsulate the vibe of your vacation and, in my experience, evoke the most emotion and nostalgia.
3. A Food Shot
Okay, hate on these all you want, but — why wouldn’t you want to remember the delicious food you ate on vacation?
4. An Artsy Shot
You’re in a new setting, you have unlimited time, you have a phone or a camera — take some cool shots.
5. A Shot of Your Surroundings
You don’t want to forget the beauty of the place you’re visiting, so make sure to capture your surroundings.
6. A Shot of Yourself
Swallow your pride and ask someone to take a picture of you.
Think about it — you’re in a fun place, you’re tan, you’re happy and you’re with the ones you love. There’s no way you’re not going to look radiant in a photo, so take advantage of it!
7. A Selfie
Though hated by many, selfies are cute, fun and carefree — aka everything your vacation should be.
