7 Reasons You Should Make Punta Cana Your Next Vacation Destination

I just got back from a trip to Punta Cana and I just wanted to let you all know how awesome it was — and by it, I mean Punta Cana.

Yes, the people and the trip itself were great, but the real star of the show was the location. In my mind, Punta Cana is one of the most underrated destinations on the planet. Why? Because everything about it is beautiful and amazing.

Not only do they have some of the best beaches in the world, but the people are amazing, the food is delicious, the landscape is stunning and the weather is unmatched.

Basically, you should go ASAP.

7 Reasons You Should Make Punta Cana Your Next Vacation Destination:

1. Beaches

Did you know that Caribbean beaches are some of the most renowned in the world?

In Punta Cana especially, they are wide with golden sands and have some of the most crystal clear, turquoise water I’ve ever seen.

2. Landscape

The resorts in Punta Cana have some of the most beautiful, lush tropical landscapes I’ve ever seen. From the trees, to the flowers, to the lawns, I was truly blown away by the natural beauty of the island.

3. Pools

Though the Dominican is known for its beaches, I have to point out the pools.

Whether you’re stepping of your back porch into a pool, or grabbing a drink from the swim-up bar, or lounging in a massive infinity pool, the pools in Punta Cana do not disappoint.

4. Food

No matter what your palate prefers, you’ll love the food in Punta Cana.

This particular meal was seared Ahi tuna, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion on a toasted bun, fresh-made guacamole and chips. It was so good.

5. Adults-Only Resorts

Whether you’re looking for a couples getaway, a trip with friends or a solo vacation, Punta Cana has some stunning adults-only hotels.

6. Family-Friendly Resorts

The caliber of family-family resorts in Punta Cana is unbelievable.

I’m young with no kids, so I typically look to go to resorts that are adults-only, but I was absolutely blown away by the atmosphere these hotels created.

7. Excursions

If you go to the Dominican, you have to do at least one of the many excursions they offer. From scuba diving, to ziplining, to sailing, to fishing, to island-hopping — there are so many exciting things to do.

One of my personal favorite activities is the catamaran ride to Soana Island. First, you hop on a catamaran for a booze cruise, then you stop to swim in the middle of the ocean on a sandbar, then you eat lunch on the island. It’s amazing.
